Viscoelasticity is the property of materials that exhibit both viscous and elastic characteristics when undergoing deformation. This book presents a set of lecture notes that introduce the topic of viscoelasticity and linearized elasticity to graduate and senior undergradute students. These notes have been used by the author for many years to teach one of the top courses in the country on linearized elasticity.
