About The Author: Kapila, also known as Cakradhanus, is a revered sage in Hindu tradition, credited as the founder of the Samkhya school of philosophy. Born to sage Kardama and Devahuti, he's considered a Vedic sage and is believed to have lived around the 6th or 7th century BCE. Some texts describe him as an incarnation of Vishnu. His influence on Buddhism is widely studied. Many Hindu and Jain figures, pilgrimage sites, and even a variety of cow are named after him. Kapila's teachings, particularly his Samkhya-sutra, have left a lasting impact on Hindu philosophy, emphasizing principles like non-violence.
