Ce livre raconte l'histoire d'un enfant terrorisé dans son enfance par la politique du déni de sa langue, une histoire inspirée de faits réels. C'est le témoignage sur la discrimination durant le pouvoir totalitaire du président Boumediene1, un pouvoir usurpé après un coup d'état militaire. Ce président s'était acharné sur une frange de la population en la soumettant à l'autre, lui déniant le droit à sa langue ancestrale, le droit de l'étudier ou de l'enseigner et le droit de porter des noms de leurs ancêtres. Il avait imposé une constitution les réduisant à l'état de servitude dans leur pays d'origine.À travers ce récit, cet enfant dénonce l'injustice et cherche à comprendre les raisons qui ont amené ce président, pourtant un des siens, à vouloir les réduire au silence. Il nous parle de la pauvreté, de la vie infernale et des malheurs qui touchaient sa famille, de la discrimination de tous les jours et de l'endoctrinement par la langue imposée. Par ses questionnements, il essayait de connaître la vérité sur celui qu'il considérait comme responsable de leur souffrance.Il nous parle de certaines situations avec beaucoup de dérisions, des situations encombrantes, gênantes et dérangeantes qui pourrissaient leur vie de tous les jours. Avec des mots simples, il nous décrit les tracasseries vécues par les pauvres et leur marginalisation dans un pays socialiste, les moyens qu'ils utilisaient pour subvenir à leurs besoins. Il passe en revue les relations sociales entre les membres de sa famille et nous parle du manque de compassion des uns envers les autres.
About the Author: L'auteur possède une double formation universitaire, scientifique et linguistique. Il a enseigné à l'université durant treize années. Aujourd'hui, il travaille dans le monde des nouvelles technologies, la fibre optique, les télécommunications, l'électronique et l'audio-visuel. Son engouement pour la littérature et l'histoire l'a poussé à s'essayer avec ce premier roman tiré de faits réels L'enfant traumatisé .
