Debemos otorgarle plena ciudadanía teórica al hecho de que Leonardo da Vinci fue uno de los más grandes filosofos del Renacimiento italiano, hasta el punto de convertirse, en realidad, en un auténtico espíritu especulativo cuyos descubrimientos alcanzan la cima de lo intempestivo, sólo reservada para los más audaces o quienes logran salir del dominio pesante del tiempo y tocar la eternidad del pensar sintiente. Esto significa que su obra no resultó inteligible ni para los seres hablantes de su tiempo ni para los del nuestro: es un filósofo que habrá de comprenderse en los Eones de una Humanidad futura si sobrevivimos a la Sexta Extinción cuya amenaza se cierne sobre todo el orbe.
Sin embargo, una aproximación filosófica a su obra es posible por medio del análisis riguroso de los principios que la rigen. Desde el punto de vista de la teoría, estos últimos revelan sus arcanos gracias al método del materialismo propio de la ontología analéptica. El lector tendrá entonces acceso a nuevas hipótesis explicativas de algunas de sus obras más excelsas y crípticas, así como también al carácter filosófico que anida en sus escritos, pinturas y dibujos y que nos permite entender enigmas que van desde el tejido de la cosmología hasta el destino de la técnica, desde la sexuación y el género hasta el transhumanismo y la Artificial Intelligence.
Por primera vez se propone, en un inesperado abordaje, una exégesis del pensamiento teológico-político de Leonardo frente a la herencia apocalíptica que rige el destino de Occidente en el ápice de su crisis civilizacional y se arriesga la apuesta de comprender qué puede ser la filosofía y, sobre todo, el éthos del filosofar en el tiempo presente.
