Newspapers, the source for most news up to the advent of the television, have always represented the convictions of the owner referred to as 'the publisher, ' which in this day and time invariably means a hardcore liberal. You might not think it possible, but the most liberal of rags: The New York Times was once a conservative newspaper! Everything went up in smoke at the beginning of the twentieth century, a period where economies of scale moved the industry to consolidate, the problem: control over the news industry fell into the hands of a few leftist patriarchies.
