About the Book

I think Sensory Deprivation would be the best form of inspiration. To free your self from the totality of yourself, and eradicate all your senses to the bare minimum, in an effort to focus on the task at hand, is to give yourself an opportunity to do that which the creator set out for you to do... create. This is the basis, and the first prerequisite of creating an incredible piece of work.
About the Author: Jeremy Davis is an emerging Urban Contemporary writer who also teaches and enjoys working with young people, but his truest passion is exploring and getting lost in the world. His writing style has been described as conversational, and according to The Guardian is effective in advancing his plots. He's been published, featured and reviewed in literary journals, newspapers, and magazines- including Barbados Today, Moko, Caribbean News Now, What's Up Caribbean, Caribbean Vibe Radio, The Trinidad Guardian, as mentioned, The Guyana Chronicle and countless others. His catalog includes The Release, his book of 'poetry and other works' is intended to inspire 'smiles' and 'cries', and 'oohs' and aahs' and nudge young writers into experimenting with their work and gently pushing the boundaries of true self-expression through writing. He's also the author of Painting from the Heart, a novelette about a Bajan Rasta painter, My Mother's Son- a book based in Trinidad and Tobago and Life Lessons for my Brothas, which is a workbook for inspiring young black men towards positive live affirming traits such as self esteem, respect for self and confidence. Much of his work seeks to examine the place of the Urban Contemporary Youth and debates themes of love and the 'afro-identity', but he also writes on lighter themes as well. Jeremy loves to travel to write. In addition to his own work, he edits the new Literary Magazine I-Am Poetry Project, and intends to work to help young people utilize Creative Writing as an uncensored, therapeutic form of Self Expression. He is most interested in discussing with Schools and Universities about Writer-in-Residence programs, and businesses and institutions, around the world, about potential speaking or workshop engagements.
