A young woman's return home leads to an unexpected revelation of truth in Annie Pitrelli's emotional debut novel, A Life Like Yours.
Jaime is a twenty-three-year-old aspiring sound producer living her dream in Nashville. But her mother's hospitalization and shaky prognosis soon sends Jaime hopping on a plane back to upstate New York.
Focused on her mother and trying to keep her anxiety at bay, Jaime seamlessly resumes her role on the team of support needed by her oldest brother who has autism. Jaime's other brother, dulled and resentful due to the responsibility that had been thrust upon him after taking over the family business, assumes the added challenge of patriarch.
Combining the gentle guidance of her surrogate grandmother, Getty, along with the introduction to Getty's nephew and his beautiful horses, Jaime embarks on a powerful journey resulting in the clarity she had always longed for.
