About the Book

What they hunt shoots back. The Bayou Banditos from the swamps of Louisiana have for years tracked and captured murderers, bank robbers and drug smugglers in places where no law enforcement officials would dare go. From the swamps of the South to mountainous terrains of the Rockies, these unorthodox trackers will go anywhere to track down their targets. The news organizations call them lawless bounty hunters. Law enforcement agencies despise them, but they are needed for their unusual tracking talents. The Bayou Banditos Buck, Bubba, JRod and Portagee are a father and son's team of trackers. They each have their own unique skill set which makes them an unpredictable force to contend with. Their collection of weapons and firearms are for the most part relics of the past, but suited for their style and the conditions in which they work. The Bayou Banditos now find themselves in the undesirable position of being the hunted. Trapped in the jungles of a foreign country they are considered assassins with drug cartel death squads tracking them. If the death squads don't kill them the beasts of the jungle will. There is no room for mistakes in this life and death struggle for survival. Over the years, it's common in book introductions and even movie trailers to boldly say that this book or movie is based on an actual story or actual events. Some claims are less bold and they might say, "This book or movie was developed from true facts." Let me assure you, I guarantee that this book is 100 percent truly factual based on my imagination. So be confident that when you read The Life and Times of the Bayou Banditos, it is all true from my perspective, just maybe not from anyone else's. The most amazing fact about this novel is that the family photo (of my sons and I), pictured on the front cover of this book, inspired this, my tenth novel. The Bayou Banditos are fictional characters molded in the likeness of me and my sons. The names of the characters are my sons' actual nicknames. Those who know them will not be surprised by their fictional counterparts' personalities and demeanors. The names of the characters were changed to protect other members of the family who might be slightly embarrassed. The family of the Bayou Banditos has all mutually agreed that the Bayou Banditos have spent too much time in the hot, humid swamps of Louisiana.
