About the Book

We all love our children and our families. We want them to have the best. We want them to experience joy, love, meaning, and fulfillment in their lives, and yet in our own, we are often unfulfilled and unhappy. Even if we have reached a comfort in our lives, we sense that much of our potential remains untapped. We wonder why we cannot think new thoughts, have new feelings, forgive, get over regrets, create wealth, or find love. We hear we create our realities but how do we create a better one? No one tells us. This absorbing book does. While Martha Burgess Novak's, The Life You Want entertains, it contains some of the most important and life-changing ideas to be found anywhere. The author shares her knowledge and experience in clear and straightforward language. In addition to writing books and creating DVDs and CDs of her work, she has shared her energy systems and insights with multinational businesses, nonprofits, and in her private practice. Burgess Novak, a teacher, intuitive, and businesswoman, has helped thousands navigate the realms of spiritual energy and apply this energy to their busy lives. She knows that a useful spiritual system must be pertinent to each individual and keep up with the challenges and opportunities of the ever-changing world we live in. Whether you have been on a lifelong journey and are looking for the next step or you are just beginning to question who you are and if there is more to life than what you currently know, Burgess Novak addresses all aspects of the modern day spiritual journey. We don't tend to think of ourselves as on a spiritual journey when we pick up our child from day care, argue with co-workers, share custody, or pay our bills. But Burgess Novak shows us otherwise and reveals how every moment contains the privilege for a broader human experience. Burgess Novak has a knack for showing us that nothing is as it seems in this world. The extraordinary experiences we have as human beings-the mystical peeks behind the ordinary, the life-threatening moments that alter us forever, the moment in nature of profound communion-are all part of a greater whole. Call it enlightenment, greater consciousness, or living in grace, it is a life-changing potential available to us. The many revelations in this book take you behind the appearance of things, into the workings of energy, and the very heart of consciousness to reveal a radical perspective of the way things truly are. Comparable to Deepak Chopra and Eckhart Tolle, this is an everyman's guide to human potential through consciousness, presented in a lively and engaging style. Alternately tender, hard-hitting, and funny, this original and clear-headed thinker will challenge how you have always looked at life and offer the possibility of a human experience you've never thought possible.
