About the Author: Michael R. Mantell is a best-selling author of three earlier books, an international keynote speaker in behavior science of leadership, fitness and life transformation, and is a highly sought after positive people builder. He directly helps his clients live the lives they were meant to live by coaching them to stir their seeds of greatness. He teaches readers and clients how to turn every situation in life into one in which they win or learn, but never lose. He helps people let go of anger, unconditionally accept themselves, get along better with themselves and others, and live with greater peace of mind. Dr. mantell's "Daily 5" offer tips and tools to rise higher, expand one's thinking and look within to discover one's gifts and talents. He has served as an Advisor to many of the country's leading gyms and fitness equipment manufacturers, digital tech and financial organizations, as well as to government leaders and institutions. Dr. Mantell earned his Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania and his M.S. degree at Hahnemann Medical College, where he wrote his thesis on the psychological aspects of obesity. After serving as Chief Psychologist for Children's Hospital in San Diego, he created and led the program of Psychological Services for the San Diego Police Department. He has been an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSD Medical School. He went on to become the Senior Fitness Consultant for Behavior Sciences for the American Council on Exercise and is currently the Director of Transformational Behavior Coaching for the Premier Fitness Camp, Omni La Costa Resort and Spa. Dr. Mantell serves on the Science Advisory Board of the International Council on Active Aging. As a member of SAG/AFTRA since 1981, Dr. Mantell has appeared regularly on "Good Morning America," CBS-TV, ABC-TV, Fox News and the CW in San Diego. He's appeared on Oprah, Larry King Live, The Today Show, hosted two highly popular Podcasts, and been featured in many of the nation's top health-fitness magazines, national and international newspapers and general interest publications. Dr. Mantell is a Wexner Foundation Fellow and is listed in greatist.com's "The 100 Most Influential People in Health and Fitness."
