About the Book

Dionysios Theoharis of Efthymios was born in Ancient Figalia Hlias and lives in Chalkida Euboea Greece. He is married with Georgia Theoharis-Kourti and has four Children. He earned a MA and BA in Economics-Applied Economics and a BA in Political Science-international Relations by attending at San Jose State University where he lived for eight years. He has become a senior manager at Hellenic Airspace Industry (HAI) and held several substantial positions including financial director. He has become a President of the Cultural Union of Figaleia "Figalos"), The Cultural Union of Peloponisians in Euboea "Theodore Kolocotromnis" and the general secretary of the association of Chalkidians. He is the president of the committee for conducting the Epikourian Road in Figaleia area. He conceived and executed such idea successfully. In fact, it became an institution. He has been writing poetry every since he was young (Poetry-Lyrical-Satiric). Some times he published them with pseudonyms ("KANENAS" and "POLYFIMOS") in the papers of the associations and unions he was the president, like "Figaliko Bima" and "Moraites Tis Euboeas," where he became editor and publisher. The Starlit Little Parliament of Figaleans. This Satiric Poet deals with the Greek Political and Financial Crisis of the beginning of the 21st Century. He projects and analyses this crisis though the unforgiving lens of the Starlit Little Parliament of Figaleans. He has a satirical mood and approach. The poem is in meter, simple and easy to understand. The conclusions are useful for all whether they are involved with the common political concerns or not. In particular he gives a new perspective to all those sensitized for the social, political, and economic problems that Greece and Humanity is currently facing.
