About the Book

The Lonely Alien Color and Read Storybook The author writes under the name of K. Lorraine. The Lonely Alien is the first book in a series of children's books to be published by K. Lorraine Books. The books are written for the young child through the beginning reader. The author was inspired to create the series after her grandson Joe sent her a delightful picture he had drawn. In between writing adult fiction, Ms. Lorraine began to write the children's series about Spog the Alien from the Planet Apple. She soon learned that to write for children was the most rewarding work she had ever done. The character for the book is based on an alien kid named Spog. In book one Spog searches the universe to find a friend. His journey leads him to Earth where he crash lands and meets a boy named Joe. The unlikely duo begins plotting tricks on Joes family and friends. Their antics don't often turn out as planned. Sometimes the tricks fall back on them.
About the Author: A young Kathleen wrote her first book titled 'Pockets' for her daughter Rebecca when she started her first year in school. Although her first book never saw the light of day, some of Ms. Lorraine's later works did. The upcoming author writes her stories under the Pen Name of K. Lorraine. Ms. Lorraine resurrected her interest in writing after a thirty - year absence to raise her children. She kept her skill of writing fine-tuned when a local newspaper offered her the position of a staff writer with her own bi-line. Ms. Lorraine divides her time between writing adult human drama of romance and suspense and a series of 'read and color children's stories about an alien called Spog. She has to her credit A Next Generation: Love in Silence, The Mis-Adventures of Walter and Katy Shuster, The Lonely Alien, 'The Apple Trick' and Beyond A Kiss. The book cover art and illustrations are original pieces by Ms. Lorraine and digital rendering by Envisioner. Ms. Lorraine and her husband Ed of twenty years, divide their time between a home in New Mexico and a southwest Florida. Be sure to look for more about the author and her literary work on her website. Ms. Lorraine is hopeful to feature some of her original art on the K. Lorraine website. http: //klorraine.com
