About the Book

The Lost Sunshine, A hope to find My ? is a heart wrenching, relatable and humorous love story of Naila and Taruj, whose against-the-time relationship is tested in the fierce fire of worldly norms and restrictions. Summary of The Book: The story, The Lost Sunshine, A hope to find My ?, is a soul melting love plunge of two very much in-love modern lovers, Naila and Taruj. The story begins when a young girl Naila, suffering from severe Amnesia, discovers a Letter from her past. It's a letter that is addressed to her from some Mystery man Taruj, who, as of late, has started lingering in Naila's gone and dead memories. The girl goes on a rebellious note in order to find out who this man is, until her mother, Tara, agrees to let her have a sneak peak in her lost and gone memories. As Naila's mother begin to unveil a soulful love story to her daughter, the two start remaining drowned in the abandoned lanes of Naila's past love life in the nostalgic streets of Naila's dream city- Delhi, 6 years ago. Naila, a feminist of The Lost Sunshine, A hope to find My ?, is a cold faced but soft hearted girl who holds an apathy for love and relationships. A sequential array of bitter and horrifying events in her childhood haunts her in her present life as well. Naila, the only child of Tara, believes and loves no one else in the world except her mother. The girl's monotonous and predictable life takes a turn when she heads her way to her dream city- Delhi. The city not just surprises her with a bunch of new friends, but also marks the dawn of true love in her life. One fine evening she goes to IIT Delhi with her friends to attend IIT's cool Tech fest- Rendezvous. It is there that she meets a handsome, poker faced, nerd- Taruj. Taruj, a student of IIT Delhi, is just the opposite of Naila. He holds great lusty eyes for Naila- the girl who hated being dated, but carries zero confidence in front of women, atypical of IITians at large. He somehow manages to charm Naila in a rush to prove his excellence in luring women in front of his friends, but in lieu of all the efforts he makes to prove to the others that Naila is his girlfriend, he falls in true love with her irrevocably. Naila fails to overpower his charm and charisma, and then begins an epic saga, a journey that the two young, totally in-love Naila and Taruj share. However, this relatable and modern love story is also not spared by the agony of filthy norms of the society. Their relationship must go through the test of lies, hatred, vengeance, confusion and jealously. As they surpass every obstacle that all relationships in the world face and are setting close to meet their ultimate destiny, life takes an ugly turn that drops Naila on bed with a lost memory that erases his existence from her mind and heart, both. Soon, the depth of true love drops Naila to a letter from her past and she sets in a mission to find her lost love, her lost sunshine that the world says is no more. Love can conquer what's lost and bring back what's gone- but can Naila travel through time and still manage to find her lost sunshine that has left the world already? The book answers these questions and many more that crop up in between this heart breaking love plunge of Naila and Taruj.
