About the Book

Galactic Order and Development - Volume 1 (Lost Then Found)In 1952, four unlikely men were drawn together to answer an age-old question: What is the origin of life? They had five days to plan for the next thirty years. Now, as the thirty year anniversary approaches, there will be no stopping or turning back the hands of time. They had one shot at getting it right. Their quest for the answer is now in the hands of their own grown children, and an old friend. Anyone deciding to take this dangerous journey will be sacrificing everything they have, for the unknown. The year is 1982, and Professor John Hartland is living in Eugene, Oregon. He has started to experience nightmares from his childhood in Corona, New Mexico. These strange dreams help to prepare him for the dangerous journey that lies ahead. That is, if he remembers, understands and listens to them. Seven people from all walks of life are in a collision course with each other. Will they decide to continue the quest for the ultimate answer to life? Will they even be given a choice in the end? From the beautiful green countryside of Oregon to the breathtaking southwest desert of New Mexico. These seven strangers will also be trying to find answers to their own personal issues, as they come together for the fight of their lives. Lives that only a week ago were simple and somewhat normal. Man can no longer hide from the truth. Time can no longer hide it.
About the Author: Being a native born New Mexican, my roots have always been embedded in the southwest desert. I was born in Roswell, at St. Mary's Hospital, to a military family stationed at Walker Air Force Base. We then moved to Holloman Air Force Base, about six miles outside of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Initially we lived on base in the married housing section. I still remember the many tall poplar trees, and the loud jets that could be heard throughout the day. Eventually we moved to our own home in the city of Alamogordo. Back then Baylor Street was only a couple of blocks from the sprawling desert, which brushed up against the Lincoln National Forest. The small city of Alamogordo was a great place to grow up as a child in the early 1960s. With its little zoo across the street from downtown, to collecting tadpoles off of Pecan Drive. My older brother and his friends once filled the bathtub up with tadpoles. The smell was overwhelming, but the sight of seeing our bathtub turned into some kind of wildlife pond was something to behold. The family got out of the military life and moved to El Paso, Texas. There we continued spending hours out in the desert exploring. We caught all kinds of things: lizards, horny toads (which I always thought was an odd name), giant grasshoppers, centipedes, loci, spiders, and ants. But I was never so happy as to return to New Mexico many years later. It was during my first summer back in New Mexico, that I started writing my first story. It was about a group of young boys, and the bullying that one boy went through. "No, it wasn't me." But the story was germane to issues still going on today-with a science fiction twist of course. I had the pleasure of incorporating one of those characters back then, into this first book. Can you guess who it is? If you're thinking Michael, then think again. After we finished graduate school, my wife and I moved up to Portland, Oregon along with wonderful daughter. For the past two decades we have lived, loved, and enjoyed Oregon. But always tucked away, in our fondest memories, will always be the Land of Enchantment. In starting this book series, I was able to go back to my roots and once again, enjoy the sights and smells of the southwest. As this series of "Galactic Order and Development" continues over the years, I would hope that your enjoyment, and support for it does as well. You can reach me at: createworldsunknown@ gmail.com
