Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Massenmedien allgemein, Note: unbenotet, HAWK Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst - Fachhochschule Hildesheim, Holzminden, Göttingen (Fakultät Soziale Arbeit), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Massenmedien sind aus unserer hoch technologisierten Welt kaum mehr wegzudenken. Um so wichtiger ist es, sich mit ihnen und ihrer Wirkung auseinander zu setzen. Eine Theorie dazu, mit der wir uns nachfolgend näher beschäftigen werden, stammt von Niklas Luhmann. Zuerst muss geklärt werden, was Luhmann als "Massenmedien" definiert. Luhmann beschreibt Massenmedien als Einrichtungen, die technische Mittel der Vervielfältigung nutzen, um Kommunikation zu verbreiten. Das sind zum einen Medien aus der Druckerpresse, wie Zeitschriften, Zeitungen und Bücher, ebenso wie fotografische oder elektronische Kopierverfahren, allerdings nur, wenn sie für unbekannte Adressaten bestimmt sind und eine große Zahl von Produkten erzeugen. Damit ist also auch das Radio gemeint, nicht aber das Telefon. Ebenso wenig sind öffentliche Räume gemeint, in denen Kommunikation stattfindet, wie z.B. Theateraufführungen und Konzerte, was aber nicht für ihre Verbreitung, z.B. im Fernsehen. Außerdem bezeichnend für Massenmedien ist, dass eine Interaktion zwischen Sender und Empfänger nicht möglich ist, da diese durch die Technik, die diese Medien verbreitet, ausgeschlossen ist. Es ist (als Radiohörer) zum Beispiel nicht möglich, während der Sendung mit einer Moderatorin oder einem Moderator im Radio zu reden. Natürlich kann man beim Sender anrufen und schafft es vielleicht sogar in die Sendung, jedoch wird dies immer nur einzelnen Teilnehmenden möglich sein, nie der gesamten Zuhörerschaft.
