Jh., Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "Poeta y lector se reconfortan llorando la resaca de sus propias lágrimas, sin atreverse a poner en duda los poemas, evidentes y fieles, como hermosos actos de complicidad. Y eso siempre da resultado [...], porque cuando alguien hace referencia a la poesía, alguien se pone a hablar de sí mismo." Mit diesen Worten leitet Luis García Montero die literarische Sammlung poetologischer Essays in "La otra sentimentalidad" ein. Der 1958 in Granada geborene Poet und Literaturwissenschaftler gilt derzeit als einer der modernsten und erfolgreichsten Dichter Spaniens. Seine Lyrik und deren Konzeption sind Untersuchungsgegenstand der vorliegenden Arbeit. Aus dem oben angeführten Exzerpt wird bereits ersichtlich, dass für Montero Poesie bzw. die Ausübung dieser a priori autoreferentiell ist, woraus zu folgern ist: das Subjekt begründet die Poesie. Genau diese 'Subjektivität' soll Ausgang sein für die vorliegende Erörterung Monteros Dichtkunst - insbesondere vor dem Hintergrund der ciudad, d.h. im Kontext des Stadtmotivs. Kurz gesagt: das lyrische Ich wird 'Subjekt', die Stadt 'Objekt' der wissenschaftlichen Betrachtung sein. Bevor sich allerdings konkret mit Monteros dichterischen Produktionen auseinandergesetzt wird, soll im Vorfeld eine Bestandsaufnahme seiner Eigenschaften als Dichter, also die Charakteristika seiner Poesie an sich und eine Verortung seines OEuvre in den literarischen Kanon erfolgen. Monteros Lyrik wird daher in einem ersten Schritt literaturgeschichtlich spezifiziert und klassifiziert. Daran schließt die Vertiefung seines Lyrikbegriffs - erst allgemein, dann speziell mit Referenz auf die Stadt respektive dessen Verwendung als globale Metapher respektive Allegorie.
