Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich BWL - Handel und Distribution, Note: 2,3, Hochschule Bremen, Veranstaltung: Handelsmanagement, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Als Mitte der neunziger Jahre das Internet erstmals auch Einzug in den deutschen Büros und Wohnzimmern hielt, entwickelte sich eine völlig neue Möglichkeit, Kunden über diese Medium anzusprechen. Die Anfänge im Handel bildeten hier Online-Auktionen (ab 1995). Damals noch vor dem Hintergrund, möglichen Überschuss oder B-Ware abzusetzen. Es wurde schnell erkannt, dass sich E-Commerce in diesem Punkt sehr gut für den direkten Vergleich von Angebot und Nachfrage eignete. Diese Auktionssysteme haben sich seither als Allokationsmechanismen in elektronischen Märkten etabliert.1 Ging man damals davon aus, dass sich hauptsächlich Bücher und CD's, sowie Reisen und Versicherungen über diesen Distributionskanal verkaufen lassen würden, werden heutzutage nahezu alle Waren über das Internet vertrieben. In dieser Hausarbeit soll es um die Möglichkeiten gehen, die der Internethandel bietet, aber auch wo sich heute noch die Grenzen befinden. Die Betrachtung soll unter dem Leitziel der Effektivität erörtert werden. Um E-Commerce effektiv zu betreiben werden an dieser Stelle 1. die Ziele vorausgesetzt, die mithilfe von E-Commerce erreicht werden sollen, 2. die Tools beschrieben, die zur Erreichung dieser Effektivität notwendig sind. Kostenaspekte können in diesem Fall nur bedingt berücksichtigt werden, obwohl sie im ECommerce eines der entscheidenden Kriterien für Unternehmen darstellen.
