Sie wird schlechthin als etwas "Anrüchiges" erlebt, was eine nüchterne Betrachtung des Phänomens erschwert. So wird gerade in der populärwissenschaftlichen Literatur der negative Aspekt der Macht hervorgehoben, indem er im Zusammenhang mit Ohnmacht, Autorität, Hierarchie und Angst genannt wird. Die Erfahrungen mit 'Machtkämpfen' - gerade innerhalb von Unternehmen - sorgt anscheinend für einen großen Bedarf an Ratgebern: sowohl für die Rezipienten der Macht als auch für Führungskräfte (in Form von Handbüchern für den verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit Macht). Häufig wird in diesen Ratgebern ein Machteinsatz à la Machiavelli beschrieben, der durch einen extrem autoritären Führungsstil gekennzeichnet ist. Aber was bedeutet Macht, wie kann man sie charakterisieren? Wie und unter welchen Umständen wirkt sie im Unternehmen? Der Text enthält einen Überblick über die unterschiedlichen Machtelemente. Danach folgt eine kurze Analyse der Strukturen eines Unternehmens (als Organisation). Der Schwerpunkt liegt im letzten Kapitel, in dem eine Einordnung des Machtaspektes in diese Strukturen versucht wird. Berlin, 1997.
About the Author: Nach einigen Stationen in der Telekommunikationsbranche setzt Almut Stielau seit 2001 ihre interdisziplinäre Denke als Consultant in verschiedenen Branchen und Funktionen ein: zunächst in Top-Management Beratungen, danach auf selbstständiger Basis. Neben Strategieentwicklung und IT Transformation wurde das Thema Nachhaltigkeit zu einem weiteren Beratungsschwerpunkt. Zuvor studierte Almut Stielau Ostasienwissenschaften in Bochum, Taipei und Berlin.
