About the Author: You may have heard stories about people who have sold magazines door to door for a living. In September of 1980 Kevin Scott Dodson was hired on to one of those crews and over the year and a half that followed traveled America in search of high days and big car totals. This was a life on the road and in the trenches where few have ever dared to go. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't glamorous, but you are guaranteed one thing, it was all real. That was more than 35 years ago and that simpler world has long since vanished away. Mr Dodson went on the attend Hofstra University in N.Y. and has pursued many creative endeavors including a career as a professional sandcastle builder and writer. But the road draws you back and it's hard to put away the memories of such impactful personal experiences like the ones he had in 1980 and 1981 selling magazines door to door for a living. The Magonians is the real story on that life on the road and you are invited to come along
