About the Author: Shannon Thompson started her make-up training years before she knew she was going to be a make-up artist with the chores of applying make-up for the dead at her home; Shannon is the daughter of a funeral director and was raised over a funeral home as a child. She had the wonderful chore of helping her father with the funerals and applying make-up was one of the tasks on her list. Little did Shannon know, that this would open the door to who she would become in life. Shannon continued her education at Howard University in Washington DC to pursuing the craft of acting; upon her education Shannon like many others took a make-up course with the renowned Reggie Ray, although the class on paper seemed really simple, in reality the class was the most challenging class Shannon had ever taken and would change her life and career path forever. Shannon Thompson graduated Howard University with a B.F.A. Shannon's range of make-up work spans from beauty make-up to special effects; Shannon has excelled in the craft of make-up being one of the youngest members of the Make-Up Artist Union in 15 years. Shannon has worked on over 30 films / 4 Television shows / countless music videos as well as national editorial work in her make-up career thus far.
