MAKIN' IT: A STORY OF HOPE is a fully illustrated graphic novel about the faith inspired turnaround of an at-risk troubled teen from juvenile delinquent to young man with a hopeful future.
MAKIN' IT: A STORY OF HOPE tells of "Tony," his troubled life, and the U-turn he made to real hope for the future.
Tony didn't know his father, hated his abusive step-father, experienced trouble in school, used drugs, joined a gang, committed crimes, and was locked in jail several times.
But Tony came to know two people who helped him figure things out: Drayton, a young uncle who overcame what Tony experienced and was doing well; and Camile, a pretty girl with her own troubles who caught his eye.
Tony finally realized he had to make a choice about his future. He learned about God, and made the choice to move away from the code of the street and follow God's code. He accepted responsibility for his life and decided t change it. And he learned about the importance of love, of forgiveness, and of making peace with those who had hurt him or whom he had hurt.
Tony still has problems. But he has developed faith in God and changed his life for the better. He has a real hope for the future. He knows he can make it.
