Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Hispanistik, Note: 2,3, Universität Konstanz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Zwei Theaterstücke, die sich jeweils der manifestierten Mythen um Malinche bedienen, sollen in dieser Arbeit im Kontext des mexikanischen Identitätskonfliktes näher untersucht werden. Willebaldo López mit seinem Werk "Malinche Show" und Víctor Hugo Rascón Banda mit seinem Werk "La Malinche" gehören beide zu derselben Generation im mexikanischen Theater und verfolgen gemeinsame Ziele mit ihren Darstellungen: offene und direkte Kritik an der politisch-sozialen Situation Mexikos. Dafür verwenden beide Autoren verschiedene Techniken und Stilmittel, wenngleich die Thematik im Kern dieselbe ist. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Anwendung der Mythen um Malinche im Theater anhand beider vorliegenden Beispiele zu untersuchen. Dabei stellt sich insbesondere die Frage, inwiefern die historische Figur thematisch im Zentrum des nationalen Diskurses steht und welche Rolle ihre verschiedenen Interpretationen dabei spielen. Eine genaue Betrachtung der zwei Werke soll im Rahmen einer Analyse der sozialen und politischen Situation Mexikos entstehen. Das erste Kapitel der Arbeit behandelt den Identitätskonflikt Mexikos genauer. Dazu wird zunächst ein allgemeiner Überblick zur Entstehung und Entwicklung des Konflikts gegeben, anschließend wird dieser im Kontext der sozial-politischen Situation im 20. Jahrhundert genauer erörtert. Eine Betrachtung der verschiedenen Mythen Malinches schließt das erste Kapitel ab. Der darauf folgende Abschnitt widmet sich einleitend dem mexikanischen Theater im 20. Jahrhundert und dessen Besonderheiten, um anschießend beide Autoren, ihre Arbeiten und ihre hier analysierten Werke vorzustellen. Das letzte Kapitel beschäftigt sich genauer mit der Repräsentation Malinches in den Werken von López und Banda.
