You're about to discover the magic of Manuel Antonio and Quepos through the eyes of its local residents.
Expanded Edition with More Full Color Photos
This year's edition has more categories, chapters, maps and photographs than last year.
An Intimate Portrait
This book was written by a long time resident, so don't expect a bunch of impersonal sound bites about everything there is to see and do in the area. That's been left to the travel guides like Lonely Planet and Frommer's. But rather, this is an intimate portrait of a unique beach community, the friendly locals who call it home and all their time-tested favorite hangouts.
You're the Insider
Imagine sitting at a restaurant surrounded by locals. You're enjoying a mouth-watering meal. You easily engage in friendly conversation with the owners because you read their chapter and you feel as if you already know them.
Just like in your neighborhood, the locals in Manuel Antonio & Quepos have their favorite hangouts, restaurants, shops and places to play. But there's so much more to this paradise.
24 Out of 27 Activities Available
Imagine visiting a place where 24 of the 27 activities available in Costa Rica are right at your doorstep: zip lining, whitewater river rafting, parasailing and more.
Wildlife
Three kinds of monkeys are sighted daily. A stunning, iridescent turquoise Blue Morpho butterfly might cross your path at any moment. Imagine marveling at a "Jesus Christ" lizard running upright across the surface of a body of water right before your eyes.
