(Luk Perceval) Der Kampf um Respekt und Ansehen von Menschen in ihrem sozialen Umfeld ist laut Theatermacher Luk Perceval eines der wichtigsten Themen seiner Inszenierung von 'Maria Stuart', die am 11. Februar 2006 in der Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz Premiere feierte. Nach einer Projektpräsentation von Bühnenbildstudenten aus Straßburg, hatte ich das Glück, ihn persönlich kennenzulernen und nutzte die Gelegenheit, um mit ihm über seine aktuelle Inszenierung zu diskutieren. In unserem Gespräch beschrieb Perceval die Elisabeth unter anderem als "ewige unermüdliche Kämpferin" und bezeichnte sie als "die Starke und Mächtige" in seiner Inszenierung. Über diese Aussage war ich sehr überrascht, da ich Elisabeth im Stück ganz und gar nicht als reine Kämpfernatur empfunden habe. Die Behauptung hat micht dazu inspiriert, zu untersuchen, wie Percevel die Figur der Elisabeth (gespielt von Jule Böwe) konzipiert hat und mich insbesondere mit dem Aspekt des "Kämpferischen" in Elisabeth kritisch auseinanderzusetzen. Meiner Meinung nach wird Elisabeth durchgängig auch als schwach und verletzlich dargestellt. In der folgenden Arbeit werde ich zunächst Aspekte des Stückes betrachten, durch die Elisabeth als mächtig und stark gezeigt wird. Dazu gehe ich von der Szene aus, in der sie ihren ersten Bühnenauftritt hat und betrachte diese näher. Andererseits sehe ich in derselben Szene auch viele Anzeichen der Schwäche, die im zweiten Teil meiner Hausarbeit angeführt werden sollen. In Bezug auf die Konzipierung, betrachte ich Elisabeths Auftreten, d.h. Kostüm und ihre Stimme.
