About the Book

The service sector accounts for a large share of GDF in most developed economics and the retail sector forms a very strong component of the service sector. Retail will generate employment. At present retail sector considered most important in changing the GDP of the country. It provide more than 80% of employment opportunities. The network of retailers reaches every nook and corner of the country. Any product produced anywhere in the country can easily come to the hands of the buyers from any location due to retailing. After Globali-zation retail business occupies a lion's share in marketing. Now it divert the attention of not only the Govt. but also for research scholars, planers, manufacturers, economists and others in the present scenario.


About the Author
Dr Rabi N Misra has done his M.Com.,during the year 1971, LLB in 1972. He has done his M.Phil, and Ph.D from Berhampur University, Orissa.

He has already produced 10 Ph.D scholars and at present 12 teachers are doing Ph.D under his guidance. Dr. Misra has published more than 200 articels at different journals on India, as well as Orissa. Dr. Misra has published 19 books and seven books are at press.

At present Dr Misra is working as a professor in P.G. Centre for Management Studies, SMIT under Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Orissa. Dr. Misra is also an Oriya poet and published 10 books on Oriya literature. He is also associated with different associations of the State as well as district associations of the State as well as district to create awarenedd among the people for socioeconomic development of the state.
