About the Author: Prof. Dr. Uwe Hannig ist Leiter des Instituts für Sales und Marketing Automation (IFSMA). Der Professor für Information und Performance Management verfügt über langjährige Erfahrungen in Vertrieb und Marketing in Theorie und Praxis. Hannig studierte Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Mannheim. Anschließend promovierte er als Assistent am Marketinglehrstuhl der WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Koblenz über die Entwicklung wettbewerbsorientierter Marketingstrategien für Hard- und Softwareanbieter. 1994 wurde Hannig als Professor für Betriebswirtschaftslehr und Statistik an die Hochschule Ludwigshafen berufen. Seit Anfang des Jahrtausends ist er Professor für Information und Performance Management. Er entwickelte mehrere MBA-Studiengänge sowie Zertifikatsweiterbildungsprogramme für unterschiedliche Hochschulen und baute zwei Business Schools mit auf, deren Geschäftsführer bzw. Wissenschaftlicher Leiter er war. Schon während des Studiums gründete Hannig ein Softwareserviceunternehmen. Er war in mehreren Unternehmen aus unterschiedlichen Branchen Geschäftsführer und Aufsichtsrat. 1995 gründete er das gemeinnützige Institut für Managementinformationssysteme e.V. (IMIS), dessen Vorstandsvorsitzender er heute noch ist. Darüber hinaus ist er der akademische Leiter des Instituts für Sales und Marketing Automation.
