About the Book

There are times when things happen the way they do because they are part of an intricate plan we are not meant to understand until the timing is right. Kwon Lee finds serenity in his jungle-like garden but he's the only one who can see the beauty in the chaos that surrounds him. His once famous oriental garden had been featured in Better Homes and Gardens. But that was before he withdrew in sorrow from all that his life had been. When a harmless prank lands three best friends in a whole lot of trouble for illegally trespassing in his garden, Kwon makes them an offer they can't refuse. Terrified they're going to end up with criminal records, they agree to the insurmountable task of restoring the old man's wretched garden. But as they begin to strip away the years of neglect, something beautiful begins to emerge. It's a time of personal growth for the three youths as they learn the intricacies of nature, while reaping the rewards of a wonderful friendship with a man unlike anyone they've ever met.
About the Author: Nancy Crossman grew up beside the sea in a picturesque little town on the west coast of Newfoundland. Life was very busy in their family of seven children, and she's eternally grateful to have been raised by loving parents who instilled in her a deep sense of family. She very often draws upon her youth for the inspiration to write about nature, the ocean, love, and life and embraces the gentle nudge of her muse with a genuine love of words. She frequently writes under her pseudonym, Annabel Sheila, and her work has appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul, Downhome Magazine, Northern Cardinal Review, Travel Itch and many other online and print magazines. In 2013 her poem, "Sentinel" won the Castaways Poetry Competition in Rockingham, Australia. She now lives in Moncton, New Brunswick with the love of her life, two cats and her adorable little canine friend, Ziggy. Her most rewarding accomplishment in life has been raising two amazing children on her own, and her greatest joy is her grandson, Max.
