About the Author: Marcos Pablo Dalmacio (Argentina/Brasil) Multi-instrumentista e compositor, desde cedo mostrou interesse por diversos aspectos da prática musical, o que o levou a dedicar-se com igual afinco ao violão, violino e viola, composição, pesquisa musicológica, regência orquestral e à interpretação de música antiga com instrumentos de época (alaúde, vihuela, guitarra renascentista, guitarra barroca, guitarra clássico-romântica, terz guitar e mandolina). Tem se apresentado em concertos, masterclass e palestras na Argentina, Uruguai, Paraguai, Peru, Espanha, Portugal, França e em numerosas regiões do Brasil. É formado na Argentina e pós-graduado no Brasil, tendo recebido bolsas de estudo destes países e da Espanha para ampliar seus conhecimentos. Marcos Pablo Dalmacio conta com um repertório que inclui desde peças da renascença interpretadas na vihuela, na guitarra renascentista e no alaúde, até estreias de obras recentes para violão e orquestra e registrou parte deste repertório em quatro trabalhos discográficos. Ativo também como compositor, conta com várias obras estreadas, desde solos instrumentais, passando por obras de música de câmara até composições para coro e orques-tra, com estreias e interpretações no Brasil, Argentina, Uruguai e nos Estados Unidos. Dalmacio é Diretor Artístico e violinista da Orquestra de Cordas da Ilha (Florianópo-lis/Santa Catarina) com a qual realizam concertos em numerosas cidades, apresentando sem-pre programas que incluem primeiras audições no Brasil de obras de diversas épocas.
