Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 im Fachbereich Orientalistik / Sinologie - Islamwissenschaft, Note: 2,2, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (Institut für Politikwissenschaft), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Hausarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, inwiefern der deutsche Mediendiskurs bezüglich des Islam den Zugang zum deutschen Arbeitsmarkt seitens der Migranten beeinflusst. Mit einer Anzahl von ungefähr 17 Millionen Menschen und damit einem Anteil von etwa 21% an der deutschen Gesamtbevölkerung bilden die Migranten einen großen Pool an arbeitsfähigen Menschen für den deutschen Arbeitsmarkt. Unter den Migranten finden sich wiederum etwa 4,3 Millionen Muslime, welche somit fast ein Drittel der in Deutschland lebenden Migranten ausmachen. Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass Migranten aufgrund ihrer sozialen Herkunft bereits seit Jahren beim Zugang zum Arbeitsmarkt benachteiligt werden, gilt es dennoch herauszufinden, wie sich die Lage der Migranten aktuell entwickelt, um Prognosen für die Zukunft zuverlässiger treffen zu können. Aufgrund der Intensivierung und Verdichtung des Mediendiskurses bezüglich des Islams sowie der parallel wachsenden Anzahl an Muslimen unter den Migranten, gilt es gezielter zu untersuchen, welche Veränderungen die mediale Darstellung der Muslime in der deutschen Gesellschaft hervorruft und inwiefern diese mit einem verändertem Zugang der Migranten zum Arbeitsmarkt einhergeht. Die Beantwortung der Forschungsfrage soll ferner dazu dienen, ähnliche Phänomene in anderen Staaten transparenter nachzuvollziehen. Zur sinnvollen Beantwortung der Forschungsfrage bedarf es deshalb einer strukturierten Vorgehensweise mit themenbasierter Literatur. Im ersten Kapitel soll zunächst die aktuelle mediale Situation des Islam dargestellt werden, um eine Basis bieten zu können auf der die Forschungsfrage bearbeitet werden kann. Anschließend soll geklärt werden, inwiefern eine Unterscheidung von Muslimen und Migranten im medialen Diskurs stattfindet, um festzustell
