About the Book

People have asked, "Why did you write this book?" There were many reasons really. Among them was the fact I had to overcome my fear of the criticism I would receive from family, friends and relatives who want to think our family was "picture perfect." The truth is any family that is without its closet of skeletons simply doesn't exist. Another reason for putting it off was the "other worldly" aspect. I spent the biggest part of my life criticizing and ridiculing people who claim to have made contact with the "other side." I didn't believe them then and, to a degree, I still don't. There are many "fakers" out there, but there are others who, like myself, have had experiences that we simply cannot deny - or explain. I suppose the biggest reason I wrote this book is I felt compelled to do it. I put it off for years but, as is the case with most of those things we put off, when you get old enough, you stop worrying about what other people think and you simply do it. This is my story and, as strange as it is, it's all true. If you get nothing else out of reading this book, I hope it will inspire you "to get on" with your story as well.
About the Author: Choury was born the seventh child in a family of twelve children. Even though his mother was a devout Catholic, the part of her that leaned toward the one quarter Apache Indian blood that ran through her veins, would, on occasion, consult Shamans for their spiritual guidance. On one such occasion the Shaman told her that Choury would one day go to college and be the first in the family to graduate from a university. She also expressed to his mother that Choury would not have children and would thus put an end the lineage of sevens in the family. Her final prediction was that he would spend the latter part of his life in service to humanity. In spite of his efforts to get married and have a family, Choury never did have children and his marriage ended in divorce. Even though he quit college when he was 21, he eventually went back and graduated with honors from a good university. It was then that his mother finally told him of the Shaman's predictions. "I didn't want the Shaman's predictions to influence you one way or the other," his mother confessed after his divorce. Today Choury has completed his second book entitled 'Nemah' which chronicles many of his conversations with his spirit guide and the supernatural events that led him to his healing ministry. Choury is also president, owner and founder of Orange County Hypnosis Center, located at the Temple of Light in Irvine CA. He is on the job all day six days a week. And what is it that he does with hypnosis? "Well," He says smiling, "If I had to sum up what I do into a single sentence, the sentence would be: I help people find clarity. Whether the issue is related to excess weight, stress, insomnia, ADD or any of the addictive behaviors like smoking, drinking, drug abuse etc., once you get your conscious and subconscious mind aligned and working together instead of opposed to each other, you get very clear about what you want out of life and how to get it. With clarity the bad habits and fear based behaviors fall away effortlessly. And the beauty of working with the power of the subconscious mind is that you start getting results almost immediately." As you might expect, a huge part of Choury's practice is in the area of helping his clients find their true purpose in life and, of course, he has become somewhat of an expert on Past Life Regression.
