About the Author: Jaysen True Blood was born and raised in the Midwest, where he now resides. As a child, he was surrounded by storytellers. His grandfather was a WWI veteran and often told stories of how the Germans drove while he was over there. Of course, his stories did not stop at his war experiences, but also included what he had sen and heard as a journeyman carpenter in Arkansas and Oklahoma, as well as stories his late wife had told him when she was still alive. Jay's dad also added to the colorful stories with events he had witnessed as a farmhand on his uncle's farm, as an electrician's assistant under another uncle, and even tales about what he had seen happen to fellow students due to carelessness. Jay's mother also added to the stories with her accounts of her adventures as a migrant worker, cowhand, and her brushes with famous musicians both on ranches and in the casinos where she worked before returning to the Midwest. Others in the family would also add some colorful stories to fill in the empty spaces in the family's history. Jay's first story was written as an assignment for class in grade school. it was his first taste of writing and he liked it. He put away his pencil, so to speak, until another grade school assignment would reawaken his love of writing. From that point on, he was unstoppable. Short stories, novels, poems, song lyrics, and plays all flowed like honey from his mind onto the paper. In 1992, he published his first poem, then his first song. He also submitted his first stories to an agent. over the next consecutive ten years, he would publish ten poems with different poets societies and sites. In 2004, he began publishing stories online through keepitcoming.net with his serial stories "Tales From The Renge" and "Breed's Command". When KIC's editor and owner decided to make a foray into print, he took up his pen and wrote indie music reviews and music/writing related articles. when KIC went under, Jay knew it was time to move on.
