About the Book

In an old traveler's inn, two mice go on a quest to help an enchanted talking Chickpea Prince! The mice prove that the friendship of a mouse is greater than the strength of a lion and that the small are precious and significant too. This book is inspired by the author's mice with special thanks to Pope Francis for his Encyclical: On Care for Our Common Home (Laudato Si'). This book is filled with many pages of beautiful, stunning and dramatic, colorful artwork, hand drawn by the author. She is presently studying ecosystems to help save "our common home". With the help of this book, she will further and complete her education; a percentage will go towards helping mice.
About the Author: Nina is a peace and environmental artist, who's first love is animals. She is presently studying ecosystems to help save "our common home". With the help of this book, she will further and complete her education; a percentage will go towards helping mice. Nina has lived mostly in Bayonne, New Jersey. She loves Bayonne, especially for the town's large park, many trees and nature. She was born in Binghamton New York to a Dutch/English- American mother and an Iranian-Azeri Turkish father. Her mother's ancestors have been in America since the time of the early American settlers. They came from England and Holland. The Hamblets traveled in ox carts from Vermont to settle in New York State. They built a home and founded Hambletville. Steven Hancock came from England and founded the Christ Church in Binghamton. David Lamb Bryant was a giant. His hat and shoes are in a museum. Some ancestors fought in the Revolutionary and Civil War. Her mother is from Deposit New York, an area with enormous trees. The village's name is from the lumberjack age, when the village river was used to "deposit" the lumber. Friend, Nina's grandfather, loved nature and wanted to be a forest ranger. In his memory she will plant trees named "Friend Trees". Nina's father is an Azeri-Turk from the Iranian side of the tri border area of Turkey, former Soviet Azerbaijan and Iran. It is a very captivating, beautiful and fascinating place, where the ancient Silk Road runs through her grandfather's old home, where Noah's Ark had landed, and where Saint Jude's grave and church rests, among the Kurds and Turks. She has over 200 wonderful and loving family members in Iran, where she lived for 1 year, from 2002-2003. While in Iran, she learned and became the first woman to play a woodwind called the Balaban or Duduk. Since her return, she played a Balaban solo in a UNESCO concert in Toronto, has made documentaries & given many presentations (on her experience in Iran) in schools, universities, like Rutgers, community centers and churches, e.g. "Passions Shift: Iran's multi cultural, religiously diverse and secular ceremonies" & "The Children of Adam". Nina's father is a trained operatic and multi vibrato dramatic tenor (his interview can be found at Hudsonreporter.com titled "Bayonne's Pavarotti"). Nina's mother taught her art as a child, using her education at the Art Students League in New York City. Nina is blessed with good humans, wonderful animals, God and angels in her life.
