About the Book

Originally published in 1989, years before the internet was launched and well before digital media, Minding Your Own Business professes a concept and a series of business tenants still relevant today. Minding Your Own Business is an approach much wider in scope than simply managing your new business. To "manage" is to get along in handling matters, but to "mind" is to attend to matters more closely and to be aware of the many varied everyday misunderstandings which can get your business into trouble. The ideas presented in this book form a conceptual framework designed to examine the assumptions underlying your business decisions. Application of this concept will help you to be among the one in two business owners who succeed in breaking the five-year-barrier, recognized by many in business as the first real measure of long-term success.
About the Author: Retired, business owner, marketing executive and management consultant, Frank Benditt, is noted for bringing his combination of corporate managerial experience along with a track record of successful consulting engagements into sharp focus in a common sense manner. He has worked as National Advertising Manager for McDonald's Corporation and as Vice President of Marketing for Arby's, Inc. While functioning at a series of prominent consulting firms, Mr. Benditt's client list includes Ruth's Chris Steak House, IBM, Disney, Marriott, Coca-Cola, Hardee's, Citibank, and the PGA, as well as dozens of small businesses across a wide range of industry sectors. Mr. Benditt studied business management at Widener University and graduated Hodges University with a cum laude Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accountancy from the University of West Florida. Frank has served as an Ambassador for the Advertising Educational Foundation, is a charter member of the Board of Directors for the Gwinnett County Teen Center Committee, and is past president of the Greater Palm Beach Gas Association. He is also author of the novella "Manolin and the Sea," an unauthorized sequel to Ernest Hemingway's "Old Man and the Sea," and "VENGER," a novel that continues the sequel's story. Both are available at Amazon.com.
