Learning to Read is Fun!
The Learn-to-Read, Sound-it-out Alphabet Coloring Book Series is designed to engage visual, tactile, and auditory senses to help children learn the basic alphabet. Studies indicate that it is we learn faster when we employ more senses. Ms. Bunny's Tea Party uses a simple story to introduce the letters of the alphabet as animal sounds.
Your child can color and scribble to their heart's content, while learning to read by sounding out the alphabet as the noises that the animals invited to Ms. Bunny's tea party make. This might end up as your child's favorite bedtime story, as long as you don't mind participating in wild animal sound competitions and letting your child draw with crayons in bed!

Reading suggestions
1. POINT-IT-OUT
As you read, point out the letter on the page, then ask your child to find the letter on the page for you after you have read the line in the story.
2. SOUND-IT-OUT
Sound out the noise the animal makes or the circled word on each page as you read the story. Let the child compete with you to get a louder or better animal noise.
3. DIGITAL DEXTERITY
Let the child trace the letter of the alphabet on each page with his or her finger as you read the story or sound the letter.
4. IDENTICAL IDENTITY
Ask the child to find the same letter in the text of the story on that page. The word is in caps and circled to make it easy to find.
5. LETTERS HAVE SHAPES
Have your child color in the letter outlines as you sound out the letter and the sound together.
6. MAKE A NOISE
Ask the child to make a new animal sound that starts with the same letter or sound.
7. VISUAL LITERACY
Some of these pictures contain hearts embedded in the image. Have a contest to see who can find the heart shapes hidden in the pictures first.
