About the Author:

Dr. Krishan Arora has completed his Ph.D. in the area of Electrical Engineering from MM (Deemed to be) University, Ambala. He did his M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IKG Punjab Technical University, Punjab and B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IKG Punjab Technical University, Punjab. He is associated with Lovely Professional University as an Associate Professor with more than thirteen years of experience in academics. He is currently Head of Department, Power Systems in School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Lovely Professional University from February 2017. He has published more than 55 research papers in refereed IEEE, Springer and IOP Science Journals and Conferences. He has organized several workshops, summer internships and expert lectures for students. He has supervised more than 10 Postgraduate Thesis and more than 15 undergraduate student's projects. He has taken and completed 15 Non-Government and Consultancy Projects. He has attended/Participated in twenty-four National/International Online webinars. His area of expertise includes Electrical Machines, Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Load Frequency Control, Automatic Generation Control and Modernization of Smart Grids. He has taught various courses to UG and PG level like Power Electronics, Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Electric Drives, Induction and Synchronous Machines and Digital Electronics.

Dr. Vikram Kumar, currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Lovely Professional University, INDIA. He had completed his doctorate in 2017 and currently pursuing Post Doctorate Fellowship from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He has received his Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from MaharshiDayanand University, Rohtak, INDIA (2006), Masters of Technology in Power System Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, INDIA (2008), and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, India (2017) on the topic "Multi-Objective Multi Area Unit Commitment Problem of Electric Power System". He has published 82 research papers in SCI/referred journals, presented my research work in more than two dozen international and national conferences, and recently applied for three patents on Li-Fi technology for electric vehicle smart parking, charging, and fast tag communication. He had supervised 02 Ph.D. Dissertations, 13 master dissertations, and 20 capstone projects during last five years. He has Copyrights for four recently proposed algorithms in multi-disciplinary design and optimization problems. He had qualified GATE-Instrumentation from IIT Roorkee and got a scholarship from MHRD, Govt. of India, to pursue a Master of Technology. I had got International Travel support from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, INDIA, to present my research work in USA in 2013. I had got an International Travel grant from the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, to attend the International Conference in CANADA and GERMANY during 2016 and 2017. He had efficiently adopted the existing algorithms for the solution of highly constrained power system optimization problems viz. Economic Load Dispatch, Generation Scheduling, Unit Commitment, Multi-Objective Economic load dispatch, and generation scheduling and multi-area unit commitment and modified them to form hybrid algorithms. I had also designed a couple of new meta-heuristics/heuristics and evolutionary search algorithms for engineering optimization and applied them for standard benchmark test systems and the solution of non-convex economic load dispatch problem, unit commitment problem for single and multi-objective and multi-criteria framework. I had recently developed Intensify Harris Hawks optimizer, hybrid GWO-RES, Hybrid GWO-PS, Hybrid SMA-SA, hybrid SMA-PS, Hybrid SMA-RES, Modified Chimp Algorithm, Chaotic Harris Hawks optimize, Ameliorated Dragonfly Algorithm (ADFA), Hybrid HSRS, Hybrid DE-RS and Hybrid DE-HS algorithm for multi-disciplinary design and optimization problems and applied Grey Wolf optimizer, Biogeography Based Optimisation, Ant Lion optimizer, Dragonfly optimizer algorithm, Artificial Neural Network/Closed Loop Control Algorithm/ Ions Motion optimizer algorithm, Multi-Verse optimizer, Differential Evolution algorithm, Harmony Search Algorithm, Particle Swarm Optimisation, Genetic Algorithm, Quadratic Programming, Mixed-Integer programming, Hybrid Differential, Evolution-Harmony Search algorithm, Hybrid Differential Evolution-Random Search algorithm, Hybrid Harmony Search-Random Search algorithm for the solution of highly constrained power system optimization problems. Dr. Deepak Prashar received B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjab Technical University, Punjab, India in 2007 and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from PEC University Of Technology, Chandigarh, India in 2009. Presently he is working as an Associate Professor and Head of Department of Networking & Security in Computer Science Department at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India since 2009. He has published more than 50 research papers in reputed national, international conferences and journals, including SCOPUS and SCIE indexed journals. His research interest includes Wireless Sensor Networks, Soft Computing, Block chain, Machine Learning, IoT, Image Processing and cyber security. He is involved in the review process of many SCI or SCIE indexed journals like IEEE, Springer, Wiley, Inderscience etc. He is also the Editorial Board member of recognized journals and serving as a technical program committee member in reputed international conferences in India and abroad. Dr. Suman Lata Tripathi has completed her Ph.D. in the area of microelectronics and VLSI from MNNIT, Allahabad. She did her M.Tech in Electronics Engineering from UP Technical University, Lucknow and B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. She is associated with Lovely Professional University as a Professor with more than seventeen years of experience in academics. She has published more than 65 research papers in refereed IEEE, Springer and IOP science journals and conferences. She has also published 12 Indian patents and 2 copyright. She has organized several workshops, summer internships, and expert lectures for students. She has worked as a session chair, conference steering committee member, editorial board member, and peer reviewer in international/national IEEE, Springer, Wiley etc Journal and conferences. She has received the "Research Excellence Award" in 2019 and "Research Appreciation Award" in 2020, 2021 at Lovely Professional University, India. She had received the best paper at IEEE ICICS-2018. She has edited and authored more than 14 books/1 Book Series in different areas of Electronics and electrical engineering. She is associated for editing work with top publishers like Elsevier, CRC Taylor and Francis, Wiley-IEEE, SP Wiley, Nova Science and Apple academic press etc. She is also associated as an editor of book Series on "Green Energy: Fundamentals, Concepts, and Applications" and "Design and development of Energy efficient systems" to be published by Scrivener Publishing, Wiley (In production). She is also associated with Wiley-IEEE for her multi-authored (ongoing) book in the area of VLSI design with HDLs. She is also working as book series editor for title, "Smart Engineering Systems" and conference series editor for "Conference Proceedings Series on Intelligent systems for Engineering designs" CRC Press Tylor & Francis. She has already completed one book with Elsevier on "Electronic Device and Circuits Design Challenges to Implement Biomedical Applications". She is guest editor of a special issue in "Current Medical Imaging" Bentham Science. She is associated as senior member IEEE, Fellow IETE and Life member ISC and continuously involved in different professional activities along with academic work. Her area of expertise includes microelectronics device modeling and characterization, low power VLSI circuit design, VLSI design of testing, and advance FET design for IoT, Embedded System Design and biomedical applications etc.
