Früh verwaist und in ärmlichen Verhältnissen aufgewachsen, empfängt Mohammed im Alter von 40 Jahren die ersten Offenbarungen seines Gottes Allah, der ihn zu seinem Propheten beruft. Er beginnt in seiner Heimatstadt Mekka zu predigen und wendet sich gegen die Vielgötterei, aber auch gegen die soziale Hartherzigkeit seiner Mitbürger. Mekka ist mit seiner Ka´ba zu jener Zeit das Zentrum des Polytheismus auf der arabischen Halbinsel und der die Stadt beherrschende Stamm der Quraisch versteht diese Stellung zu seinem wirtschaftlichen Vorteil zu nutzen. Mohammed und seine Anhänger werden beschimpft, verfolgt, bedroht. Kurz bevor es zum Äußersten kommt, flieht Mohammed mit seiner Gemeinde nach Medina. Von hier aus nimmt er den Kampf gegen seine Heimatstadt auf. Es folgen Jahre des Kampfes, der großen Schlachten und kleinen Scharmützel, bis er schließlich als Sieger nach Mekka zurückkehren, die Ka´ba von allen heidnischen Götzenstatuen reinigen und seinen Gottesstaat errichten kann.
About the Author: Detlef Gbureck, geboren am 31.12.1961 in Düsseldorf, verbrachte einen Großteil seiner Kindheit in Afghanistan unter der Herrschaft des Königs Sahir Schah, wo sein Vater im Rahmen der Entwicklungshilfe afghanische Polizeioffiziere ausbildete. Hier wurde er 1968 in der Deutschen Schule/Kabul eingeschult. Nach der Rückkehr der Familie besuchte er das "Städtische Schloßgymnasium Benrath" in Düsseldorf. Später studierte er in Köln Rechtswissenschaften und legte 1989 sein erstes und 1993 sein zweites Staatsexamen ab. Nach siebenjähriger Tätikeit als Rechtsanwalt arbeitet er als freier Autor und Dozent. Er legt mit der Biographie "Mohammed - Der Prophet des Islam" sein erstes Buch vor. Sein nächstes Werk "Im Gespräch mit: CALIGULA - Römer, Kaiser, Gott und Monster" erscheint in Kürze. Dabei führt er ein fiktives Interview mit jenem berüchtigten römischen Kaiser, dem als erster der sogenannte "Cäsarenwahn" nachgesagt wurde. Privat lebt er wieder in Düsseldorf und ist leidenschaftlicher Motorradfahrer und Segler.
