Ce dimanche 19 juillet 1910, j'ai dormi, je me suis reveille, dormi, reveille, miserable vie. Franz Kafka, Journal. J'y songe souvent et, chaque fois, je me demande quand dans ma vie est apparu le Journal. Impossible de dater cette apparition, mais il me semble tout de meme que ce fut tres tot, des mes premieres annees d'etude, presque a l'age ou Kafka a commence a l'ecrire. Il ne m'a plus quitte. Ce grand livre souffrant, tragique et drole, n'est pas de ceux qui detruisent, mais de ceux qui sauvent, qui donnent de la force. On y revient, sans cesse. Parcouru par la douleur de l'existence, il est traverse par la lumiere. D'une beaute dechirante, il est transperce par l'echec, par l'angoisse lancinante de l'echec, par le desir de solitude et par le desir de la rencontre, par la necessite menacee d'ecrire et la douleur du corps, du desespoir que me causent mon corps et l'avenir de ce corps (1910). Je suis une fois de plus tiraille a travers cette fente longue, etroite, terrible, dont, a vrai dire, je ne puis triompher qu'en reve. A l'etat de veille et par la seule force de ma volonte, je n'y parviendrais jamais (5 decembre 1919).Aujourd'hui je parcours a nouveau le Journal par le biais de cette quete particuliere de l'ecriture de ses reves, de ses visions d'avant le sommeil ( mais je n'ai pas dormi du tout ) et de l'immediat apres reveil.Franz Kafka ecrit comme on dessine - c'est l'ecriture la plus proche du dessin que je connaisse. Quelque chose que je n'ai jamais vu ailleurs. Et, dans le Journal, le travail incessant de cette ecriture se frayant un chemin par approches successives, cet effort pour aller vers cette verite depouillee est incomparable - Kafka dessine. L'insatisfaction dont une rue offre l'image, chacun leve les pieds pour quitter la place ou il se trouve (21 aout 1912). Tout oublier. Ouvrir la fenetre. Vider la chambre. Elle est traversee par le vent. On ne voit que le vide, on cherche dans tous les coins et l'on ne se trouve pas (19 juin 1916). Vague espoir, vague confiance (2 novembre 1921). Cet apres-midi, reve d'une tumeur sur ma joue. Cette frontiere oscillant perpetuellement entre la vie ordinaire et une terreur en apparence plus reelle (22 mars 1922). Mon travail se clot, comme peut se fermer une plaie qui n'est pas guerie (8 mai 1922).La plaie n'est pas et ne peut se guerir, chaque page ouverte du journal l'est sur une douleur et sur un recit mele de desespoir et de lumiere. Pour moi, les images, ce que j'appelle cette evocation si violente qu'elle s'apparente donc au dessin, se recoivent de facon viscerale, intense; elles se ressentent physiquement: ce sont des mots qui agissent sur le corps, qui penetrent avec toute la force que necessita leur expulsion. Mon Kafka, il est celui de tous et celui singulier de chacun. Marina Tsetaieva ecrivit Mon Pouchkine en 1937. Mon titre lui est un evident hommage.Anne Gorouben, Paris, juin 2015Anne Gorouben est nee en 1959 a Paris. A l'Ecole nationale superieure des arts decoratifs, elle suit les cours de Zao Wou Ki.Depuis, elle expose regulierement ses peintures et ses dessins en France ou a l'etranger. En 2003, elle presente notamment un hommage a Paul Celan au musee d'Art et d'Histoire du judaisme a Paris. Son cycle d'Odessa a Odessa est expose dans differents centres d'art en France et en Ukraine. Ses oeuvres sont presentes dans des collections publiques et privees en France et a l'etranger.Elle a publie 100, boulevard du Montparnasse en 2011 aux editions Le Cahier Dessine et contribue depuis a la Revue.
