Il a publié de la poésie, histoire, critique, articles et essais. Il a reçu des prix et reconnaissances, entre ceux-ci l'international de poésie Casa de Las Américas et le National de Poésie Heredia. Il a publié, entre autres les livres, Les cinq plumes et la lumière du soleil (conte pour enfants), Homme familial ou monologue de confessions (poésie), L'art des ailes croissantes (conte pour enfants), Les angles du silence (trilogie poétique), Vivre les rêves (histoires courtes) Sous lampes festives (poésie), Le unique José Martí, Adversaire principal de Fidel Castro (essai), The five feathers (conte pour enfants) L'histoire des cinq plumes (conte pour enfants), La couleur de la pluie (histoire pour enfants), Contes de la plus grande prison du monde (contes pour les adultes). Il est co-auteur de la sélection Histoires érrotiques (contes pour les adultes). Il est correspondant académique de l'Académie de l'Histoire de Cuba-Exil et Membre d'honneur du PEN Club de Canada pour écrivains.Fue un fundador del primer grupo de escritores y artistas independientes cubanos conocido como El Grupo. Ha publicado poesía, cuento, crítica, artículos y ensayos. Ha recibido premios y reconocimientos. Entre estos el internacional de poesía Casa de Las Américas y el Nacional de Poesía Heredia. Ha publicado, entre otros libros, Las cinco plumas y la luz del sol (cuento para niños), Hombre familiar o Monólogo de las confesiones (poesía), The art of growing wings (cuento para niños), Los ángulos del silencio (Trilogía poética), Vivir lo soñado (cuentos breves), Bajo lámparas festivas (poesía), El único José Martí, Principal opositor a Fidel Castro (ensayo), The five feathers (cuento para niños), L'histoire des cinq plumes (cuento para niños), El color de la lluvia (relato para niños), Cuentos de la prisión más grande del mundo (cuentos para adultos), Es co-autor de la selección Cuentos erróticos (cuentos para adultos).
