About the Author: Burl Daviss, MD, is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine. Dr. Daviss is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who specializes in the pharmacological treatment of ADHD and mood disorders in youth and young adults. He is the former medical director of the Center for Children and Families at the University of Pittsburgh, and he is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Daviss has been referenced in several journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology. He has also received a career development award from the National Institute of Mental Health to develop research expertise in the assessment and treatment of ADHD and comorbid mood disorders in youth.
