Life has taught me that you can't control someone's loyalty. No matter how good you are to them, doesn't mean they'll treat you the same. No matter how much they mean to you, doesn't mean they'll value you the same. Sometimes the people you love the most, hurt the most.
The most essential interaction for any truth to be perceived is with the mind. In this mysterious realm, all our perceptions end up, all truths are validated, and all questions are asked.
What makes people aware? Does consciousness exist apart from the body? Yet, if it weren't for the body providing feedback to the consciousness, would consciousness exist? I.e., without something to behold, does the beholder exist?
Perhaps the body or more properly the brain is like a vessel and the mind is water, filling it. When the vessel is broken, the water spills out and drains away, perhaps to reform again one day. This is the Descartesian dualism of the ghost in the machine.
Alternatively, consciousness is the effect of the interaction of the mind with matter. And if there are no "things" such as mind and matter, to begin with, only interaction, might all consciousness be part of the universe's interconnectedness? The ultimate interaction.
It is simple. To live a good life is to understand that life is not just made up of pleasure, wealth, and material things. It's also living a life in pursuit of personal excellence.
Stop waiting for someone to make you feel good and start living since you don't need anyone to do either. That's simply another justification for avoiding dealing with the situation.
There could be a void inside of you, but someone else can't make up for it. To begin loving, valuing, and accepting yourself for who you are, you must first work on your relationship with yourself.
Many people let their lack of a love partner to prevent them from doing things, such as going out with friends or taking that long-planned trip.
Once you gain confidence and bravery and realize that being by yourself and alone is a wonderful gift, many of these activities can ultimately be accomplished on your own.
