About the Book

At 25, Brett Sinclair is living at home in upstate, New York when her father abruptly dies from a brain aneurism. Her closest brother, Jarrett offers her a home at his Texas Ranch. They get her a white long haired ragdoll kitten whom she names Macloud and calls Mac. Three years later, she's unable to compose any new music. Her brothers hire a younger new sound tech, Quinn Mallory. Thrown together for the Holidays, Quinn mistakes Brett's being extra nice as love. Her brother Jason's practical joke has Quinn proposing to Brett on Valentine's Day. In Wyoming, at her brother Justin's ranch outside of Casper, instead of a pleasant vacation, she discovers Quinn has followed her with unknown intentions. Sheriff Russ Hawk starts out protecting Brett but ends up falling in love, on the run and hiding from an insane maniac. Russ and Brett go to his hunting cabin on the Wild River Reservation. After the birth of his son, Russ learns strangers are on the reservation hunting...for them. Quinn has disappeared. A PI brings back the news that his real name is QUINCE MALONE O'CONNER from a very wealthy San Francisco family. On a rampage, Quinn finds them in Butte, Montana. He kills Russ, injures Skybird and leaves Brett in a coma. Brett and Holt move into Lorna's home after Brett is released from the hospital. Knowing that Quinn is still out there and still hunting for Brett, two of Russ's cousins show up to track Russ's killer and avenge his death. Now totally insane, Quinn breaks into Lorna's home intending to take Brett and her son back to his parents. Dubungu is there to accurately throw Uncle's war lance and end Quinn's reign of terror. Brett uses the RV to return to the Wind River Reservation. There, she finds herself in need of Dubungu's services again to keep her son from Quinn's father's grasp. Daniel Cheveyo is Dubungu. He has lost his heart to Brett and her young son. Now he may be forced to lose his soul to end Brett's torment. So, he's been her spirit warrior before, will this time turn out as well or in disaster?
About the Author: Born in Syracuse, NY and at 25 years old, moving to Harrisburg, PA. I started writing in 1969 after my 10th grade English teacher suggested I put my stories onto paper. I have always been an avid story teller. Tragic circumstances in my life caused me to stop writing for almost 20 years. Then when I went into the care giving field, I decided to start writing again. That was in the 1990's and I was able to get two books published. APRIL IN CHICAGO and HER SNOWMAN. I got married in 2002 and my husband helped get more of my novels published. Also available in print are NO WAY OUT, CONTRACT ON TIME, STEEL & LACE, HIS TEXAS TROUBLE, NO BUDDY'S BABY, HIS FAVORITE FLAVOR, A CHANCE TO LOVE, and CAT & HER COWBOY. I have a very unique way of telling my stories. You won't know what's next until you turn the page, so open the book and step into WHEN THE MUSIC FADES. Part one of the Wind River Reservation Music Saga.
