Auf Sri Aurobindos Spuren entdeckte die in Indien "Mutter" genannte Fortsetzerin seines Werkes ein "Mental der Zellen", das es ermöglicht, die Bedingungen des Körpers ebenso radikal umzugestalten, wie in Urzeiten das erste Stammeln eines "denkenden Geistes" die Natur des Menschenaffen verwandelte.MUTTER wurde am 21. Februar 1878 in eine Pariser Familie gänzlich materialistischer Überzeugung geboren. Sie studierte Musik, Malerei und höhere Mathematik. Als Schülerin des französischen Malers Gustave Moreau lernte sie die großen Impressionisten der Epoche kennen. Später traf sie Max Théon, eine mysteriöse Persönlichkeit mit außerordentlichen okkulten Fähigkeiten, der ihr als erster eine zusammenhängende Erklärung all der spontanen Erfahrungen gab, die sie seit ihrer Kindheit hatte, und der sie bei zwei langen Besuchen auf seinem Anwesen in Algerien die Geheimnisse des Okkultismus lehrte. 1914 besuchte sie die französische Kolonialstadt Pondicherry in Südindien, wo sie Sri Aurobindo begegnete, der dort als indischer Freiheitskämpfer vor den Briten Zuflucht gefunden hatte. Nach einem Aufenthalt in Japan und einem kurzen Besuch in China kehrte sie 1920 endgültig nach Pondicherry zurück. Als Sri Aurobindo sich 1926 zurückzog, um der Erforschung einer neuen Evolutionsmacht in der Materie nachzugehen, übernahm sie die Leitung seines Ashrams und bemühte sich vergeblich, die Schüler zu einem neuen Bewußtsein zu erwecken. 1958, acht Jahre nach Sri Aurobindos Abschied, zog auch sie sich zurück, um das Problem anzugehen: eine Veränderung im Bewußtsein der Körperzellen. Von 1958 bis 1973 deckte sie allmählich den "Großen Übergang" zu einer neuen Spezies und einem neuen Lebensmodus in der Materie auf. Dabei erzählte sie Satprem von ihren außerordentlichen Erfahrungen, und das ist die Agenda.
