Everybody seems to know somebody who is Irish, or somebody who has ancestors from Ireland. Maybe that is you! Although the current population of Ireland is just over six million, it is estimated that about fifty to eighty million people around the world have Irish connections!
That's a lot of people, so it's no wonder that so many of them have a deep love for all things Irish, including their beloved forebears. These people just adore their trips to Ireland and have developed quite a list of their favourite places to visit.
Is it The Cliffs of Moher, scenic Adare, therugged west coast of Clare, the nearby Burren, or the nearby Clare Glens? Maybe you always visit trendy Galway City - we especially loveit in the oyster season! Others adoreDuncannon in County Wexford, the magical and ancient Skellig Michael in Kerry, with its puffins and seagulls. There's the Guinness Brewery in friendly Dublin, with The Four Courts for family research, and any number of atmospheric places forfolk music and the wonderful Irish craic. Another favourite of ours isstylish Killaloe in County Clare, which becomes elegant Ballina on the other side of the bridge in CountyTipperary. We always try to go back tohistoric Bunratty Castle with its absorbing Folk Village, quite near to Shannon Airport. Ah, there are so many heavenly places to visit in dear old Ireland!
