This is a short Contemporary Romance Story and the first installment in the Short and Sweet Series.
"Marshall!" I said and ran out of the room.
I stopped him just as he reached the elevator door down the hall.
"What is it Soph? You made it pretty clear to me that..."
But I didn't let him finish. Instead I placed a finger on his lips and whispered,
"I love you."
"You do?" he whispered back.
I nodded.
I kissed his smiling face and he picked me up and carried me back to my hotel room.
Marshall wasn't just like a brother to me. He was my soul mate. He was the only one that could cheer me up, the only one that made me laugh out of my stomach, he was the only one that knew why I loved the sunshine and he was the one that held all my memories.
And that morning he was the one that made love to me.
MARSHALL has loved Sophie for as long as he could remember. She was his best friend through all the years. But Marshall's history with girls has tainted his reputation with her.
SOPHIE has been hurt too many times in relationships to ever date a player again. Even if it was Marshall who made her feel things she never thought were possible.
But when Marshall is dared by his friends to get Sophie to fall in love with him the extra encouragement gets him to try one last time to get the girl. But just as Sophie gives her heart to him she finds out about the dare.
And Sophie knows playing with feelings is looking for trouble.
But what is a girl to do when her hot best friend is a player?
