About the Author: I was born Cleve Carlton James, on the island of Jamaica, W.I. I am the fifth child of six children, born to Cyril and Emma James. I attend Quickstep Elementary school until the age of fifteen. At a tender age of fifteen there weren't many activities in our district, so I felt the need to learn a trade. At that time my dad owned a truck. I grasped the opportunity to learn and drive, which set my course of direction. While traveling to the city I start to inquire how I could start learning a trade as an Auto Mechanic. Within a few days I started to learn the ins and outs of the auto mobile. I learned well and fast, wasting no time. I bought many books and studied hard while I did hands on work. I learned to love it. Being a mechanic became my life line which put me in the position to raise and support a family, I always give God thanks. After a few years I migrated to the USA; land of opportunity. I made Brooklyn my home. I married my beautiful wife and we both raised our four children. I work as an Auto Mechanic at a few small garages. Having a family pushes you to seek for better occupation. I put out some applications, took some tests and landed a good job working for the NYCTA. As my family grew I decided to seek a better environment to raise my last two daughters. My search took me to the Pocono in Pennsylvania. We started our new home here deep in the quiet trees. I am retired now and currently still living in our home. However my commute to and from work in New York, was not well calculated. The winter months were long and cold. I like to listen to the sound of my engine. Other times it helped my mind to flow with ideas. I can recall back home in my early childhood at times; I would sit back in meditation my father would walk up to me and say, "Son, what you thinking about?" I answer, "Poppy, my mind is so far away my eyes can't even see that far." He laughed and gave me great words of wisdom, "Son, as you grow up try to do something different, than others around here." Those words I would hold close to my heart till this day. God bless his soul. While travelling the distance, 104 miles one way on route 80, it gave me tremendous amount of time alone. A thought popped into my mind about a dream I had some time ago. I told my children about the idea and they encouraged me. It is a fiction story I decided to share with you, the kid who pasted, but somehow made a second entrance to live again, in That Breath She Took.
