About the Book

An Intellectually Honest Study of Technical Information Preserved in Ancient Scriptures. Thousands of years before that same information was discovered by modern science, it was already known with references to it recorded in the bible. Mysteriously, that information existed long before it was gathered into the bible. The technical information in the bible presents many mysteries not limited to religious stuff, but such things as knowledge of how to direct lightening to strike at a certain place and at a certain time. We now know a "bolt from the blue" can be directed to strike by providing a conductive path from a certain spot on the ground to a charged upper atmosphere. But Elijah did not know that. He was just following directions from some extra-terrestrial intelligence. But that is not what this book is about. The 104th Psalm has been used by secular scholars to "prove" the Judeo-Christian religions are simply evolutions from former Egyptian religions. But they are wrong. The technical information internal to that Psalm cannot be found in that from which "enlightened scholars" assume it was plagiarized. All that true technical information, in the "copy" could not have been invented by intelligent guesswork by religious gurus. It had to come from some other source. If the assumed Egyptian source is older than the accumulation of writings into the bible, then both the technical information in Psalm 104, and the flowery praise to some "Sun god" of the Egyptians had to be from some other, common source older than both. The Egyptian religious stuff had to be tainted from that more ancient source. Not the other way around. Some of that technical knowledge is even found in the Book of Job, the oldest book in the bible. And no one knows how old that book of Job is, not even its original language. Recent archaeological discoveries about the history of writing defies the recent evolutionary theory that narrative writing did not exist that long ago so all religious stuff had to have been passed down via oral tradition. How could this be? The answer to that question may be a bit complex. So let's begin. This conclusion is the inevitable culmination of a fifteen thousand hour research project. (That is equivalent to seven and a half years of full time scientific research.) An old scientist in his retirement dedicated about fifteen thousand hours to finding out what the bible really says about the beginnings. That work is presented in the book, Eyewitness to the Origins, Second Edition, Scientific Evidence of the Supernatural Authorship of the Bible, published in 2008. In that work, the author compares all of the major biblical creation accounts to each other, and prepares an interleaved comprehensive chronology of all the biblical origin accounts combined. What he found was the correct order of events, verified by modern science, was recorded in the ancient scriptures. But the big mystery is the fact that one of the accounts also has a second, literal, and more obvious chronology that is out of accord with the rest of the bible and out of accord with reality as discovered by modern science. Bigger still is the mystery of why theologians have, for thousands of years, ignored the many, and accepted the one as the official schedule of creation? Nine years later that same Old Scientist released this book, The Mystery of Psalm 104, Second Edition, exploring these questions using the multiple-working-hypotheses method, presenting it in an easy to read and understand condensed form. The bottom line is, the details found in biblical origin accounts can be arranged in chronological order by internal clues. There are around of one hundred such details. These details, and the resulting combined chronology, are in accord with reality as verified by modern science. About fifty of them are mentioned in Psalm 104. And none of them are in the presumed ancient Egyptian source. This book explores possible answers to those mysteries.
About the Author: The author, AnOldScientist, has been a scientist and a theologian all his life. Combining those two pursuits has made him no stranger to controversy and persecution. His background and education is in the sciences of Geology, Theology, Information Recognition, and Electronics. In 1969 or 1970, The Old Scientist -he was a young scientist then-while pursuing a degree in geology at San Jose State University, came face to face with a college exam question that changed the course of his life. The question was concerning the existence of the continents. If the earth is as old as it appears to be, and the rate of erosion is as fast as it appears to be, according to the philosophy of Uniformitarianism where rates were always the same as they are now, the continents should have been eroded down to sea level by now. The continents should no longer exist. The continents should be awash by the sea as a shallow worldwide ocean. To paraphrase the question, What is the mechanism that keeps the continents piled up over three miles high to rise above the level of a three mile deep ocean? (The existence of that mechanism is a big deal in the multiple creation accounts of the bible.) You see, at the time, that mechanism was not a part of modern science. It was still being debated as to whether continents really drifted across the face of the planet. Over the years The Old Scientist pondered that question long and often. He watched as the scientific community came to accept the idea not only that North and South America actually did draft apart, but that there must be some super mechanism that builds continents. Eventually, AnOldScientist retired from a thirty-three year long career as a scientist in the Military/Industrial Complex where he specialized in information recognition and exploitation. Since then, he has applied that specialty to the study of science in the bible. His discoveries show that the technical information mentioned in the bible is consistent, and in accord with reality. Those discoveries are accumulating in a book in progress. The proposed title of the book is: "Technical Mysteries of the Bible The Confluence of Science and the Bible Where the Rivers of Reality and Religion Meet The Unfinished Writings of an Old Scientist upon Studying the Bible." By Max B. Frederick, AnOldScientist The challenge I am facing today is the dissemination of those discoveries before I leave this world and those discovered secrets die with me.
