Bullied by my fears, my journey to happiness through the eyes of a cat.
Mystic the cat loses everything he thought was the cause of his joy and
reason for existence when his best friend, an elephant named Bumpa
goes missing.
Heartbroken, Mystic decides to search for his lost friend, and regain his
happiness. But on his journey, he meets a strange, beautiful black cat
named Freedom who insists he doesn't need Bumpa to be happy,
and a terrifying red cat named Trembly who tries to convince him that
happiness is an illusion.
Mystic's hope shatters and his worst fears threaten to push him into a bottomless abyss of pain.
Will Mystic have the strength to face his fears?
Will he ever see Bumpa, or be truly happy ever again?
Could a grumpy cat's investigation resolve the mystery of happiness?
When I was ten, I told my mother I would write a book about the painful experiences I had as a child.
It would be about all the negativity I suffered and the people who had caused it.
As it turns out, life had a better plan for me, I just couldn't see it yet.
As a young adult I struggled with anorexia, depression, and a hatred of life, all of which were
manifestations of my deep-seated fears.
Then one day, I read my first self-help book and found that the happiness I had known years
before when I lived with my grand- parents was something I could have again.
This discovery led me on a chaotic journey, full of ups and
downs as my fears and negativity
tried to force their way back in, but I never gave up.
Finally, I got a sense of what my inner joy was, and how I could achieve it in a sustainable way.
It was then that the intense desire to write about my experiences resurfaced, only this time
I wasn't held back by the dark story of my childhood.
This time I was inspired to write something positive, something easily accessible to everyone;
a story about a cat who had to endure his own troubled journey to discover the true happiness within.
Follow Mystic on a journey of discovery and healing, and with him, learn the secret to true happiness...
