Tras el resultado negativo de la clínica especializada en trastornos del sueño se comienza a sospechar que la jovencita está siendo afectada por el extraño fenómeno de la costa. El extraño comportamiento de la jovencita es interpretado de diferentes maneras por familiares y amigos, el padre que ve en su hija actitudes de la usurpadora de Los Valles se siente culpable por la herencia que pudo haber trasmitido a su hija; mientras que otros opinan que la muchacha es poseída por el espíritu de su bisabuela quien la obliga a comportarse como una criminal. Frente a este criterio la iglesia adopta una actitud de reserva, hasta que el fenómeno cobra varias vidas y se hace evidente que Angelina Mendoza es dominada por uno de los espectros que salen del fondo del mar y la convierten en una criminal.Después de varias ataques y muertes y una ceremonia druida que al final no da el resultado esperado. La viuda de Valverde se entrevista con Concha, la negra que criara a Amanda más allá de los cerros y la convence de llamar a su hermana, una poderosa espiritista. Trina llega a Los valles y es entre ella, con una inesperada intervención de Raquel Del Castillo, quien finalmente pone fin a los espectros de la costa.
