Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Komparatistik, Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft, Note: 1,7, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Geschichte von Rotkäppchen wurde im Laufe der Jahrhunderte von unzähligen Autoren bearbeitet und variiert. Entgegen seiner Popularität stellt die Version der Gebrüder Grimm dabei weder die erste noch die letzte Adaption des Stoffes dar, sondern greift auf frühere Bearbeitungen zurück und hat gleichfalls das Feld für neue Bearbeitungen eröffnet. Da Märchen immer einen Spiegel der Gesellschaft darstellen in der sie entstanden sind und die herrschenden Gesetze, Werte und Normen abbilden, kann die vergleichende Analyse von Märchenversionen Aufschlüsse über Veränderungen und Entwicklungen im sozialen System. In der vorliegenden Arbeit sollen die frühe Rotkäppchenversion "Die Geschichte von der Großmutter", deren Erzählerkern vermutlich bis in das 16. Jahrhundert zurückreicht, "Le petit chaperon rouge" von Charles Perrault (1697) und "Rotkäppchen" der Gebrüder Grimm (1812/15) näher beleuchtet und herausgestellt werden, welche Intentionen die Märchen mit demselben Stoff aber unterschiedlichen Ausarbeitungen verfolgen. Besonderes Augenmerk soll auf Rotkäppchens Weg vom cleveren kleinen Mädchen, das sich selbstständig vor dem Wolf retten konnte, zum naiven Geschöpf, das von einer männlichen Autoritätsperson gerettet werden muss liegen, um die Stellung der Frau in der Gesellschaft und die Beziehung von männlicher und weiblicher Macht nachzuverfolgen. In diesem Zusammenhang soll auch der zunehmende Verlust des offenen Umgangs mit weiblicher Sexualität näher betrachtet werden, der bei den Grimms in der beinahe vollständigen Eliminierung aller erotischen Konnotationen gipfelt. Es soll herausgestellt werden, inwiefern diese Ausmerzung einerseits die Schamgrenzen der jeweiligen historischen Gesellschaft absteckt und andererseits dazu beiträgt, das männlich-weibliche Machtgefälle in der patriarchalen
