Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Sport - Sportökonomie, Sportmanagement, Note: 1,3, Universität Potsdam (Management, Professional Services & Sportökonomie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien anhand der Nachhaltigkeitsberichte, Maßnahmen zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung sowie sozialer und ökologischer Projekte der drei Sportartikelhersteller Adidas, Nike und Puma analysiert. Erkenntnisziel ist es, eine Beschreibung, wie Nachhaltigkeit in weltführenden Sportartikelunternehmen betrieben wird, zu erarbeiten. Dabei wurde der Stand der Forschung im Bereich Nachhaltigkeit und Sportartikelbranche aufgezeigt, sowie ein Überblick zum diskutierten Thema geschaffen. Die Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien wurden anhand der vier Hauptthemen Umwelt, Zulieferer, Mitarbeiter sowie gesellschaftliches Engagement analysiert. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass bei allen drei Sportartikelkonzernen eine gut ausgebaute Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie in allen Bereichen vorhanden ist. Allen Drei ist gemein, dass sie selbständige Teams für Nachhaltigkeit haben, regelmäßig in verschiedenen Zyklen Nachhaltigkeitsberichte veröffentlichen, die dem GRI-Index entsprechen, eigene spezielle umfangreiche Umweltprogramme entwickelt haben und Verhaltenskodexe für die Beschaffungskette und für die eigenen Mitarbeiter ausgearbeitet haben. Des Weiteren werden bei allen die Arbeitspraktiken in der Beschaffungskette von der Fair Labor Association extern überwacht, alle drei sind Partner der Better Work Programme und sie begannen zusammen mit anderen Großunternehmen ein Projekt zum Aufbau und zur Verbesserung der Human Resources Management Systeme ihrer Zulieferer. Wegweisend ist außerdem die im November 2011 veröffentlichte Joint Roadmap, in der Adidas, Nike, Puma und drei weitere Textilhersteller bis 2020 der Freisetzung gefährlicher Chemikalien in die Umwelt ein Ende setzen wollen.
